Subject(s): Summary: The author took time from his busy work schedule at the Phoenix Gold Mine to write accounts of his life as a hard rock miner. This was done at the request of the many visitors who have urged the author to record interesting mining situations that have occurred during his occupation as a miner. Alvin Mosch comes from probably the oldest continuous family of Colorado hard rock gold miners. He has also mined uranium, silver, molybdenum, beryllium, tungsten, and, in recent years, tourists. He is the organizer of the Independent Mining Association of Colorado. This organization was successful in protecting and improving the legislative conditions for the very small independent miners of Colorado.
